Ticker Timer Experiment

Master acceleration analysis through virtual simulation

Step 1: Prepare the workstation.
Click orange spots to clean!

Setup

Experiment

Frequency: 50 Hz

Guide

Clean the ramp surface, connect power, then release the trolley. The tape will record the acceleration due to gravity.

Analysis Results

Scale: cm

The ruler below is marked in centimeters (cm). Use the red markers (A-F) for your calculations.

Step 1: Determine Period

Given Frequency (f) = 50 Hz

Use formula T = 1 / f

s
Step 2: Calculate Velocity at B

Measure distance A to C on the ruler above.

Time = 2 × T. Velocity = Dist / Time

Velocity B = m/s
Step 3: Calculate Velocity at E

Measure distance D to F on the ruler above.

Velocity E = m/s
Step 4: Final Acceleration

Count intervals between B and E. Calculate total time.

a = (Ve - Vb) / Total Time

Acceleration a = m/s²
